| Message: | I was adopted at the age of 6 weeks and am now 41. I am trying to get some closure and would like just to know anything about my birthmother. Her father was called Thomas Thornon and they lived in Felixstow. I was born in a home for unmarried mothers called the Old Mill House in Great bentley essex. I was adopted by the Homeless Children's Aid & Adoption Society & F B Meyer Childrens Home in Muswell Hill London, in 1966. My Mother was educated at Felixstow grammer school and she was 19 when she had me. PS my name is actually ROBIN I spelt it wrong! That was the name she would have given me if I had not been adopted. | |

| Message: | My husband was born in the General Hospital, Great Yarmouth on 1st Jan 1956 to Marilyn Jessie London. She named him Gary Lee. He was adopted in October that year. Unfortunately there are no details registered for Gary's father. We would love to have some contact with Marilyn as we have spoken to her brother and he hasn't heard from her for many years. Any help will be much appreciated. In 1958 Marilyn married Romey D. Jones. Does anybody know of him? FOUND. Now in regular contact and have had a visit from Marilyn. Wonderful end result. My mother and I left when I was still a baby. I know you were both very young at the time and did what was best. My mother and I moved to the United States. Things became dificult for mom and I was placed for adoption at 5 years old. I was placed with a great family. I now am married and have 3 children of my own. I would love to hear from you. I spent the first year with my mother and was then put up for adoptiion when she took up the position of housekeeper in Norfolk, and could not take me. My birth mothers family used to live in a house called The Marne in Rochdale, and I believe my grandfather had a towelling factory. My family also had a pet shop. My grandfather remarried so my birthmother has step sisters, one of which is called Evelyn anyone with any info please get in touch I have hit a brick wall with my search. I did have a phone conversation with my birth mothers step mother and she said she had had no contact with my mother since her brothers funeral.
