I am seeking to locate JOHN MAXWELL ROBINSON, born 22 November 1927 Rawdon, Leeds, son of PERCY Robinson and GERTRUDE TEAL. Educated at Bronte House School, Aireborough Grammar School, Liverpool University and Bradford University, he qualified as a pharmacist in 1955. Max worked in Pudsey and Bramhope before emigrating to FREMANTLE, Australia in October 1970. He is the father of Stephen Maxwell Robinson (1968) and Andrew Robinson. Max married to Patricia Pickles in 1957 and had two children: Geraldine(1958) and Timothy (1959). They divorced in 1959 and Max married Carol Ann Stephenson in August 1967. In 1987 his address was 17 Salthill Road, Clitheroe. He later moved to Filey and may still be living there, or, perhaps be living in the Rawdon/GUISELEY area of Leeds. However, he could still be in AUSTRALIA. We would love to hear from Max or one of his relatives, or even someone who just knows them.

I was born in 1949 at Chiswick Hospital. My parents were George Ernest Bryant and Margaret Mary Bryant "otherwise Gignac". I say "otherwise Gignac" as this is the name under my mother's maiden name, I do believe she wasn't married to George Ernest Bryant. My mother was a housekeeper. I think the name came from her marriage to Jean A N Gignac in 1943. My parents lived at 28 The Vale, Golders Green in 1949, the year I was born. I was adopted in 1951, the Adoption Order being made by Barnet County Court. Am trying to trace anything about myself if anyone out there could help please. The name Rabette appears as my mother's maiden name when she married Jean Gignac. This lady is a mystery. I have since traced a Margaret Mary Gignac who married Albert E Cooper in 1978 at Westminster. There is no further information. I do not have money to pay for credits now to search any further having spent a fortune finding out the above. My name appears on the register twice but under the same index reference. A bitter comment to his grandson David, from my grandfather resulted in the loss of contact between several generations of his family in the 1930s or 40s, cutting off the descendants of my aunt Beatrice, nee Kay, from siblings in Smethwick, Birmingham. I may not even have been born then, but if I was, the time would have been c. 1935-1951. I was told that my mother's older sister, Aunt Bea, had three sets of twins and several other children and that she had moved to Newcastle-on-Tyne many years before that. My mother was the youngest of the nine siblings, and David was the only one visiting from Newcastle-on-Tyne as far as I know. My memory is not great, so hope I've remembered his first name accurately. My Dad couldn't remember his surname.
