| Message: | My paternal grandfather was born Samuel Hamilton, son of James & Mary Ann Hamilton (Nodwell) and sibling of two brothers, William and John and a sister, Mary. They were all sent to Canada as "home children" between the years 1902 and 1905. His father worked in the Clydebank shipyards but beyond that I know nothing more. My grandfather did meet up with relatives when serving with the Canadian Army in World War 1. I realize that this all happened a long, long time ago but perhaps someone out there remembers their parents or grandparents talking about this. If so, please contact me. | |

| Message: | Adopted: I previously known as Clare Jones Born 03/06/1958 to then Ceinwen Jones was informed from Merioneth grammer school educated & qualified as a school teacher (whose father / my grandfather was mastercraftmans & mother / my grandmother won first scholarship for grammer school) who didn't want to marry birth father local blonde chap who was looking after mother farm in village as own father had died of thombosis few years earlier to my birth. Fostered at first after 2nd foster parent needed to go in to hospital rather than go through the system was put up for adoption... adopted by pefect family (thank you) on Sept 29th 1959 at Perhore Worcs. I understand that you had a difficult pregnancy & finally born at Lucy Baldwins maternity hospital (now closed) Stourport Kidderminster district. I'm not sure to whether you are now married with further children. I was informed through records that you had left for me that you were an only child... thank you for full prenal records. As requested my Father (now deceased) a wonderful perfect gentleman sorely missed kept his word & also as requested to keep my first name of Clare of which you requested.
