I was seventeen and you were fourteen and due to my stupidity we were only together for six weeks and I have never forgotten you and still think about you every day. I understand that you are married and have three daughters and possible live in Luton. A couple of years ago I sent to you via your brother Eric two photos with you on. The last time that I actually saw you was when your mother died as I came up to her house to give Eric a letter of condolence and was very suprised when you answered the door. | Message: | Kenneth Graham was an Irish volunteer posted to Hereford to a newly formed elite corp called RECCA. He was a WO1 in the summer of 1942, a Sergeant Major. He met my mother at a Royal Ordinance Factory dance. She helped to make bombs. Members of this corp wore emerald green forage caps with a badge like a fork of lightening. They were later part of the red berets, the paras, later the SAS. If he survived the war he would be in his nineties now. We would be interested in any information about him or the corp of RECCA men during WW2 | |
