| Message: | Seeking living descendants or information concerning my G.G.Grandmother Helen Towie. Helen was a visitor on the 1851 census for Dumbarton. Along with her sisters, Bridget, Margaret, Catherine and Elizabeth she was in the household of Daniel Towie. All were born in County Sligo. Helen's father was James Towie and her mother Bridget or Catherine Finnie or Feeney. Helen married Patrick Goldie in 1865 at the Roman Catholic chapel, Dumbarton. They had three children I know of: Bridget, Michael and James. Helen died in Paisley in 1919. Any info gratefully received. Regards, Pauline. | |
