She gave birth to my Mum in 1912, but, wasn't married & gave her daughter Gladys to the Thomas Coram Foundation in London. I believe I've found her on the 1911 census working for a publican in Clerkenwell, London, which would explain why her baby was given to an association in London although Harriet came from Wales. Her Father was Francis Downing Jones & her Mother's maiden name was Hardy & she came from Derbyshire. I have traced many members of her family but never Harriet herself & would be grateful for any information. | |
