| Message: | My Mother Catherine Murphy (married name Bye) is looking for her sister Marion. She was born between 1938 and 1941 in Acocks Green Birmingham to parents Catherine (nee Murphy) and James Murphy. Marion is the eldest sister of Catherine b1942, James b1944 and Elizabeth b 1947. All siblings were put in Erdington Cottage Home, Fentham Road, Erdington around 1946 until 1955. Marion was adopted or fostered when she was around 12-14 (1950-55) to the Baker family in Sutton Coldfield. She later went on to marry a man called David (?) believed to come from Portsmouth area. Marion has auburn hair the same as her sisters. Elizabeth was also adopted as a baby but no further details as to where and whom. Any information will be much appreciated. | |

| Message: | Does anyone know the whereabouts of my cousin Philip? he would be in his early fifties and grew up in Birmingham under the fostering scheme. He may remember his Uncle George and Aunt Rita{My mum and dad) and his mother was Ethel Hayton. I believe he has a younger sister who may also have been adopted. Other relatives he had would have been his mothers father called Charles Hayton. His mother had many personal problems and was unable to bring up Philip herself and lived in several different areas of the UK. My aunt Ethel would be in her eighties now but i do not know of her whereabouts. If anyone knows of or knew an Ethel Hayton who had to have her children adopted could you get in touch please.
