Seeking:  Girls At 11 St Albans Avenue Bournemouth
Location:  South West : Bournemouth
Message:  I posted this message a couple of years ago, so thought it was time to refresh it. I have received some replies from girls who were at 11 St Albans Avenue, but none whilst I was there. Here's hoping second time I am lucky. I was placed in the Free Church Home for Unmarried Mothers at 11 St Albans Avenue, Bournemouth and I was there from March to May 1966. My beautiful daughter was born there and I was extremely fortunate, my parents came to take me and my daughter home. A lot of the girls I was with were not so lucky and I had to witness their distress at having to part with their babies. I would like to make contact with any girls who were there from March to May 1966 just to see how their lives have panned out. Sue Hodgkinson (this was my name whilst I was there and I have reverted back to this maiden name after my two divorces).

Seeking:  Jean Margaret Collins Or Richard Burton Picture
Location:  East Midlands : Nuthall
Message:  I am seeking my birth parents. Jean Margaret Collins d.o.b 7th April 1936. She was 20 at the time of my birth and called me Lesley Collins. In 1956, she was working as a typist at Rolls Royce, Hucknall,Notts. She lived with her parents at:- 166 Nottingham Road, Nuthall, Notts. Her father worked for the Metal Box company in Mansfield. Her mother suffered from arthritis. There is mention that there is extended family living in Mansfield. Jean remained home until I was born. On her discharge from hospital she went with me to a mother and baby home, Grosvenor House in Mansfield. Jean was unhappy after spending a week there, so her parents took her and myself home. A letter dated 4th November 1956 was received from Jean's father to Southwell Diocesan Council for Family Care stating that they had made arrangements for my adoption privately. My birth father is Richard Burton who was 25 at the time of my birth. He and Jean had a relationship from September to Christmas of the previous year. Richard accepted paternity of me and contributed financially towards my care. He was a trainee electrician with the Coal board in 1956. Richard was married with 3 young sons in 1956. His wife seems to have known about my birth. He lived at 18a Watnall Road, Hucknall, Notts in 1956. Please can anyone help me find either of my birth parents? Thank you.

Seeking:  Justin Purcell
Location:  South West
Message:  Born 20 July 1971, your mother was living at a catholic mother and baby unit in Southampton. You were formally adopted in January 1972 by a couple who had had you from about the age of 6 weeks. Your mother always hoped you would try and find her when you were legally able. She has moved around quite a bit and had several name changes so perhaps you tried and failed. She would welcome contact, if only to confirm that you\'ve had a good and happy life.
