Seeking:  Dorothy May Short
Location:  South West : Exeter
Message:  I am looking for my birth Mother Dorothy May Short born 13th February 1936 and who was living in the Countess Wear area Exeter in Newport Road at the time of my birth. My real father was Ronald Steer who I believe was living in the Topsham area when I was born. Dorothy's mother was a semi invalid with rheumatoid arthritis and Dorothy thought it was best for me to be adopted. I had a good life with my adopted parents who sadly both passed away several years ago. I have tried to find Dorothy on several occasions but always seemed to draw a blank. I bear her no malice whatsoever as I have had a good life but have always thought about my real mother since I was told I was adopted at the age of nine. I feel like most adopted people that there is that piece of the puzzle missing in my life. I would love to know my birth mother and if she sees this or any one knowing or related to Dorothy sees this please get in touch. I do hope some one can help me. I wonder things like do I look like my mum am I her character etc etc it is strange that feeling of not knowing who you really are. I was born 25th April 1952 and was registered as Angela Maud Short before my adopted parents changed my name to Gillian Maureen Ponsford.

Seeking:  Sutton
Location:  North East : Middlesbrough
Message:  Does anyone please have any information on the Sutton family who lived at 72 Borough Road Redcar in the 1960\'s early 70's. George William Sutton (deceased) married Mary Richardson in 1940 (deceased) and remarried to Eileen Sowerby in 1960 (deceased) Both Mary Richardson and Eileen Sowerby lived in Redcar prior to their marriages. George previously lived at 6a Borough Road Middlesbrough and was a tobacconist, then as a confectioner with Eileen Sutton. We are trying to locate information on Yvonne Sutton who resided with George W Sutton and Eileen Sutton nee Sowerby at 72 Borough Road Redcar and who attended Whitehouse School for Girls in Redcar, leaving to work in the offices of ICI Wilton and taking an office/secretarial course at Redcar Technical College when she became pregnant she was 15 or 16. However there is no trace of Yvonne Suttons birth and it may be that in all probability she herself was adopted, believed sadly also to be deceased. Does anyone have any information on the daughter that Yvonne had who was adopted around 1965-67. Any information greatly appreciated. The above birthdate of the daughter is not known and the birth father believes his name was not placed on the birth certificate although he was notified by a religious order of the birth and recalls it was within the Yorkshire/East Yorks Region possibly Hemsworth/Sheffield. Again any help greatly appreciated. The hospital is not known nor the precise area the child may have ben given the first name of Angela. Would anyone with any information contact me on 07790270458 as for some reason I am unable to reply to those kind people who have already responded. Thank you all x

Message:  I am searching for baby boy registered as Andrew Allan (christian names), Born Christmas Day 1960, in Redlands Hospital, Glasgow. By 14th January 1961 the birth certificate says "adopted" which I think means he was already placed with parents. I am hoping someone might have some information for me as Andrew is my young brother and I would dearly love to be in touch with him. I have a lot of information if he wishes to contact me. I did not know until very recently how to trace him and hope I am successful. He is now 52, is probably tall, dark and most likely quite handsome too.

Seeking:  Alison Deeming
Location:  West Midlands : Nuneaton
Message:  Looking for my partner's daughter named Alison, that was adopted in 1970 at Stratford-Upon-Avon Adoption Agency (Name unknown). She was adopted by a family from Solihull who had twin boys. My partner's name is Janet Dewis, was Janet Deeming at that time of adoption. Since being with my Janet for the last 15 years, I know that what happened back in 1970 really upsets her today, so much so, that she never wants to talk about it. She actually has no idea that I am posting this on here, but I believe that life is too short and if I can bring together her daughter with herself she would be the happiest Mother in the world. Janet has told me that at the time of giving up Alison for adoption that she was forced into this by her Dad. Long harrowing story that will be told in full should Alison ever find us. The date of birth shown above is most likely incorrect as I have not managed to get a specific date from my Janet as she won't talk to me about it. Too upsetting for her. But I think I have the year correct. Janet is now 60 and I would love to find her daughter for her now. Andy.

Seeking:  Kathleen Clarke
Location:  West Midlands : No Town Information
Message:  Looking for my fathers birth mother, named Kathleen Clarke , 21 (1953) when she gave 'Craig' up at Sorrento maternity hospital, Moseley, B'ham, in 1974. His dob is 9/10/74. The adoption forms describe her as 5'8ft, blue eyes, rosy complexion, well built, came from a large family, went to a secondary modern, then onto factory work, and enjoyed music and dancing. My fathers father was named James was given no surname, was 6'ft, well built, blue eyes, was a bar man and bailiff. The reason for adoption was that ' Kathleen knew the importance of having family around and realised she did not love James'. So i assume they did not stay together. Kathleen possibly catholic, possibly red-head?
