| Message: | I have been seeking my father, Stanley Baker, for many years to no avail. He was born in Cottingham in 1929. His parents were Stanley and Marjorie Baker(nee Blades). He has a brother named William born in Durham in 1924. My father was in the navy and joined in Chatham in July 1947 as a cook but was returned to general duties after being found unsuitable for submarines. He deserted at Pt Said and came to Australia as a stowaway on the ship Asturius. He married my mother here and had 3 children with her, me being the youngest of those.
