| Message: | I am searching for a man named John Scott who would be / have been my Grandfather. The only details that I know of him is that he was in the Navy and would have been based in Chatham, Kent around May 1943. He met my Grandmother Joyce Gilbert and my Dad was conceived, however I believe that John Scott was then posted elsewhere and he was not heard of again. I am not sure if he knew about my Dad. Unfortunately my Dad has now passed away, but I know my Dad would have loved to have known more about his biological father and myself and my family would also love to know more. | Message: | my partner is seeking his birth father David Robert Worthington who was a sub mariner based in Gosport in the early 1950's His son was born 28/4/56 David Neil Worthington. Neil as he is known believes his parents came from the Durham. Neil's real mother and step father have passed away about 4 years ago and he'd now like to find his real Dad. Neil is a lovely quiet easy going hard working man with 3 children of his own. I cannot imagine what is must be like to have part of your family part of you missing. Neil being a man dare I say isn't very good at making thngs happen so I thought I'd enquire here if anyone knows of his father, who would be in his seventies now. | Message: | I am a Caucasian 42 year old male. I now live in San Diego California USA. I never knew my birth father and I would like to find and meet him. My mom was 18 years old when she gave birth to me in Glasgow Scotland in the year 1966. My birth certificate does not have a name listed for my father. My birth dad might have been in the US Navy at the time? My mother claims she does not know who my real dad was/is? While in Scotland, I lived with my mom and grandfather until I was three. After that my mom met and married a US Navy man. We then moved to the United States around 1969-1970, my step-dad adopted me several years later when I was a teenager. I love my step-dad, but want to meet my biological dad. If anyone can help me find my birth dad, I would appreciate the help. | |
