| Message: | Hi I am trying to locate an Albert (2nd name unknown) aged about 24-29yrs in July 1968. He was a Scottish ship engineer or builder on the Clan Lines Vessels who was docked in Birkenhead/Liverpool port in july 1968 for 1 or 2 weeks, He lived at the time in Scotland. There were 7 clan line vessels in port at that time so if you know of anyone by the christian name of 'Albert' who will now be around the age of 66-71 on one of the following ships can you please respond to this message: Clan Matheson Off. SELWYN ROSE (known as 'Tommy') and his wife MARY (Alice) ROSE (nee GALLAGHER) ran the Hallsands Hotel between 1947 and 1953. Selwyn originally came from Bridgend in South Wales. During the Second World War he worked as a mechanic at a Naval base in North Shields. | Message: | I am looking for my biological father, Raymond Thompson. He met my mother, Maureen Duggan, in 1960 at the Hammersmith Palais and they dated for a while. She became pregnant with me and did not know until she had lost contact with him. He therefore does not know about me. Raymond was about 19 at the time, tall, fair hair, light eyes. He was in the navy as an engineer. I was adopted a few months after birth, and recently have been reunited with Maureen and have met several half siblings -- it has been a wonderful experience for us all. I am now hoping to make contact with Raymond and understand the other half of my background and history. If you are Raymond please get in touch. I have often wondered about you. I know that he used to live in the Bradford area, and I'm quite sure when he was little he lived a few doors down from my grandmother on Oakdale Road in Shipley/Wrose area. My mother was 28 when she had me, and I have seen him once since that day. He will be approaching 50, past 50. I don't have a bith date. I do have a service number. D195780. He was stationed at HMS Warrior, Eastbury Park, Northwood, Middlesex. He did fight in the Faulklands, as a radio commander. He has dark hair, and is over 6feet tall. He is married, and has 2 other kids, maybe 3. They are younger than me from what I have been told. If anyone has any information at all it would be greatly appreciated. I have no idea who he is, and would like to find him. | |
