About Missing You
Missing You was founded in March 1998 by Mike Murr, Internet Director of TMS Media, and he continues to be closely involved with the development of the site. The service is free to people posting and responding to messages.
Our website is well indexed by all the major search engines. This means messages posted to our site may also appear in search engine results for some time after they have been deleted from our system.
We can't get individual entries removed from a search engine's index, although they will normally disappear over time. If you want to have a message removed you must contact the search engine(s) in question.
Professional researchers and person finders may use our message facilities to help trace missing persons for their clients. We would ask you to include your status within any messages or the term "on behalf of". This does not entitle you to post advertisements for your services in our message boards.
The message posting service is intended to remain entirely free of charge to everyone. If you subsequently claim a success fee as a direct result of using our service, we would appreciate an appropriate payment to help us maintain the service. Please make cheques payable to our publisher TMS Media at the address on our contact page.
Our message posting service is provided in good faith and we trust message posters will respect this. We are unable to vouch for the bona fides or accuracy of messages or the content therein. We will not be responsible for any consequence or loss sustained pending any message posted or replied to. We reserve the right to remove any message at our sole discretion.
We don't permit the promotion of people-tracing and similar services or websites on our message boards. Nor do we approve of or recommend the services of any professional researchers who reply to messages through Missing You. If you receive a message from anyone offering professional services who says they are acting with the approval of Missing You please let us know.
