| Message: | Looking for a half brother born to my mum in WW11 around September 1944 while she was in army? Not much else to go on except she was in a girls home when she gave birth and had to give up for adoption a baby boy. She is now 89 and disabled and I am her only child. I would love to get in touch and know I have a brother. My mum will not talk about this any more as it causes her too much pain. If anyone can help or know of this her name was Irene Lawless of course she married and now lives in Norfolk for last 62 years. I live in US and would love to find out more. | Message: | Army WW11 Irene Sunshine Lawless age 22 had baby boywhile in army in 1943 would be around 64 now. I thought I was a only child till this last week when my mum who is 86 and very ill told me she has a baby boy in 1943 while she was in the Uk Army. They sent her home to Manchester Lancs and her mum sent her to a home to have the baby and after she woke up the baby had been taken away and she said there had not been a day she has not thought of him. My mum was demobbed in 1947 and married my dad and moved to Norfolk where he lived. Anyone who has any knowledge of this please email me in CT USA I always knew something was missing in our lives. | Message: | My mom told me this year that she had a baby boy while she was in Army in WW11 early 1940's when she was around 22 years old. I have always thought I was an only child and have lived in States the last 33 years and would love to find my brother. I have no more information as my mom is now getting quite old and her health is not great. I know her dads name was Harold Lawless her maiden name, and he was married for 2nd time after first wife died to a lady name of Avis. I also have lots of cousins name of Laycock from Wythenshawe in 1950's but have not had any contact with my moms side of family. Some of them emigrated to AUS and I have no way to contact them.
