| Message: | Trying to trace F/Sgt Colin Leahy 1356208 RAF (VR), or his descendants. Colin flew with 31 Sqdn SAAF from Celone airfield in Italy in 1944. He twice went on supply dropping missions to Warsaw in support of the Home Army uprising - and flew with my uncle John(see crew photo) 15 times from late August until did September 1944. F/Sgt Leahy scored the Squadrons first air combat kill on the night of 15th September whilst on ops to bomb Tatol landing ground at Athens, claiming an Me 109 night fighter from the tail gunner position. | |
