My name is Stephen John Chesters, I am trying to trace my biological father, his name is Sidney George Arthur Chesters and I am hoping you may or may not be able to supply me with information relating to him or his current location.
The reason for my letter is that we share the same surname and may share the same family background; I understand that it is a small chance. Also my father?s parents lived and worked in the Shropshire area.
My father was born on 29/07/1953 in Shropshire; he has three brothers and two sisters. Neil, Andrew, Anthony, Margaret and Elizabeth. They all grew up on a farm in the village of Weston Heath, Shropshire.
My parents were married in September 1971.
My father enlisted in the Royal Air Force and was stationed at RAF Sculthorpe (85 Squadron) after completeing his basic training at Cosford, were he qualified as an Airframe Mechanic serving all types of aircraft. His service number is S8141802.
After leaving the Air Force, my father joined Marshal?s of Cambridge, he has also spent a year working for the Sultan of Oman in Oman, before returning to the United Kingdom and joining Southdown Airoservices based at Lasham Airfield, near Basingstoke, Hampshire.
Since leaving Southdown Airoservices I believe my father to be leaving and working in Germany, but have no concrete evidence.
